Euphorbia lactea: a combination of sinuous shapes and pastel shades

A real beauty among the spurge plants: the euphorbia lactea Crestata with its shape and its shades of color is certainly a fascinating and particular species. In nature it can reach a height of 5 meters. This succulent from India has the shape of a wavy and crested fan, which presents a 'wide variety of shades of color starting from white, green and all shades of pink and fuchsia. The sinuous shape that characterizes it and that is always different between one plant and another, makes each of them a unique example from the original appeal. The Euphorbia lactea therefore, besides being very easy to grow and therefore also suitable for those approaching the world of succulent plants for the first time, also has a great ornamental value. Placed inside the Flob terracotta vase, you will feel at home in any interior.

Euphorbia lactea: how to take care

Exposure and brightness: Being mostly native to very hot countries, they prefer the heat rather than the cold, even if they have not shown particular adaptation problems. However, a sunny windowsill is often the ideal starting point to start a collection of succulent plants. In summer they can be moved outdoors ensuring adequate protection against the scorching midday sun. During the coldest months they should be stored indoors.

Irrigation: Euphorbia lactea is resistant to drought and therefore needs little water once every 7/10 days. The quantity to be distributed must generally evenly bathe the whole earth without stagnating. It is always advisable to let the soil dry well between one watering and the other. In winter, the plant is in a resting phase so the watering is reduced to one / two times a month.

Fertilization: Fertilization must be carried out during the vegetative period with a specific fertilizer for fat plants.

N.B. The specifications described above may vary depending on the climate of the area where the plant is placed and the season
