Sedum burrito is one of the most interesting and decorative succulents, thanks to its hanging shape which also gives it the name of "donkey's tail". As a matter of fact, when young the Sedum burrito grows upright, but with the development the stems are folded, taking on a "cascade" appearance that becomes extremely interesting, especially if it is hung: they can reach 1 meter in length! They are plants resistant even to high salinity, and of suitable consequences even in maritime areas. In their natural environment they develop in dry and arid areas. They develop flowers of various colors, from March to October, ranging from white to purple. The cultivation of Sedum burrito is simple and reflects that of many crassulaceae, so very simple: if it grows in pot it is good to place it in a very bright position but away from sunlight. Sedum burrito is a variety that can withstand cold up to 8 ° C. Outdoors the Sedum resists well even with rainwater, while inside it is watered about 2 times a week with a very low dose of water. In winter it is advisable to reduce it further. The Sedum substrate should be well draining, and can be fertilized once a year in early spring.
Its leaves, gathered in falling bunches, give it the name of "donkey's tail".
