Certainly, orchid is a plant with many important meanings, all of them rotating around its fascination and sensuality: mythology associates this plant to Orchis, a young Greek who was punished with his death for his immoral conduct. Struck by his fascination, the Gods let a flower be born from the drops of his blood as remembrance of him. With fleshy and blameless petals, a pronounced mouth and 2-6 leaves with an intense green colour that sprout from slender stems: this is Phalaenopsis Deborah white, essential but refined, ideal for decorating every environment by giving it an exotic touch. Orchids love the sun (never with a direct exposure, but always with a constant one) and ventilated areas; temperatures around 23-24°C are highly recommended, while excessive air currents should be avoided. Roots must always be watered, while water stagnation must always be prevented: it is sufficient to water the plant 2 times a week during summer and one time a week during winter. Phalaenopsis lives on inert soil and therefore needs to be supported with fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium during spring and fall. Repotting should be done by paying attention to the roots: the new pot should always be a little bit bigger than the previous one. During repotting, it is possible to eliminate dead or damaged roots.
