More info

Registered in 2000 by J. Arden, this species of Vriesea is easy to take care of, very decorative and showy. The flower comes out of the plant centre and has a red colour with orange and yellow shades; all around, in a rosette-like arrangement, grow the lance-shaped leaves with their bright greed. Known and appreciated also by beginners, this trendy plant gives a touch of exoticism and originality even in the environments with minimalist design. There are a few simple rules to follow for the cultivation of this plant, and they can be summed up as follows: choose a well-illuminated place, not directly exposed to sun rays, making sure that the temperature never goes below 18°C, and water the plant by avoiding stagnation, possibly by using osmotic or purified water directly in the central calyx. As it produces oxygen also during night, this plant is highly recommended for your bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
