Calathea dottie in coconut fiber, a wonderful combination of colors to hang!
In Japan, bonsai are hung from the ceiling, inside spheres covered with algae or moss, to allow them to be admired all over the world. Usually they are inserted in a mesh of thin ropes, which held the soil. This spherical coconut fiber vase takes up that millennial concept and is made by hand: a valid alternative to any hanging pot, with a modern look and a completely green conception.
Inside there is a further waterproof jar, which retains the plant but is 100% biodegradable, as well as the outer casing. The latter is covered with a rope, which can be easily removed: you can position your Calathea also on the ground thanks to the flattened part of the bottom.
The Calathea Dottie is a charming houseplant with dark green / brown leaves, finely dotted with magenta on the edge and on the central part. A rather flashy combination of colors that will surely impress anyone. The Calathea does not need big care to survive: just place it in a place that is not very bright in the house, as it is among the houseplants that also support very little light; be careful, however, being a tropical variety the temperatures should never fall below 15 ° C. It is good that the sun never directly hits its delicate leaves, which must be constantly nebulized to guarantee the right humidity. The irrigation of the Calathea must be constant in order to keep the soil always moist.
