Azalea, the plant that symbolizes spring!
Azalea is one of the plants that most represent the arrival of warm temperatures, as its spectacular bloom takes place right at the end of winter, almost to mark a transition between the two seasons.
It is also among the essences preferred by bonsaists because of its visual impact. In this version with customized Flob vase there are different varieties of flower color available. Azalea belongs to the great genus Rhododendron, and is also called "the tree of roses". There are about 500 species. Often the Rhododendron differs from the true Azalea as an evergreen, and if cultivated as a bush it has more leaves and flowers than the Azalea itself, which is instead deciduous.
Azalea is a plant that falls among the acidophilic, that is among the plants that love a substrate without limescale and with acidic pH. In this regard, you can use blond peat, sand or kanuma, a particular Japanese clay.
It is an outdoor plant that loves a half-shade position and a slightly damp environment. It requires frequent watering, especially during the hot period, with rain or demineralized water. Fertilization should be carried out immediately after flowering, until October but interrupting it in July and August.
The personalized Flob vase is handcrafted in Italy with fine Tuscan clays, finished with water-repellent treatments to be washable and with a rounded design inspired by the organic forms of nature, which enhances even more the beauty of this Azalea.
