Ficus ginseng, for a gift with a wow effect !!
Ficus ginseng is an absolutely fascinating looking plant. The round crown has shiny green leaves, the trunk is whitish / reddish in color. But what most characterizes it are the gnarled and aerial roots reminiscent of those of ginseng, with which, however, it has no relationship. This plant also carries with it an implicit wish for long life and health, it is therefore also perfect as a gift.
The ficus ginseng is inserted in an egg-shaped glass terrarium, inside which a micro ecosystem is created equal to that which regulates life on earth: the transparency of the glass allows the passage of light and therefore photosynthesis, while the seal of the container retains the humidity produced by the plants.
Ficus ginseng in glass: how to take care
An ecosystem almost entirely self-sufficient, with a degree of humidity such as to make watering an occasional operation. Moss and soil will indicate the state of humidity inside the terrarium: if the soil becomes dry and the moss has lost the liveliness of its green color, it means that you need to water.
It would be preferable to keep it in places where the temperature is constant and away from direct light sources. Your ficus ginseng will take about a week to acclimatise and adapt to the place where it was placed. A reliable indicator of the good position is the amount of condensation that is created on the glass. The ideal is to have one side covered and the other not. In the event that the condensate is present in high quantities, just open your egg and remove it with a dry cloth. Exposed under this minimalist bubble, the ficus ginseng plant becomes a real design complement, capable of creating the so-called "wow effect"!
