This gorgeous fern coming from Florida is part of the so-called "rabbit paw" fern, a name derived from the particular creeping rhizomes covered by a brown hair. It is a tapestry and produces rounded edges with an unusual color tending to blue. It has very obvious ribs from which the name "Phlebodium" (from the Greek "phlebos", or "vein"). Like other ferns, it has many beneficial properties on the air we breathe, as it has the ability to absorb harmful gases and fumes. In its native lugo grows on branches of plants and rocks.

Exposure and brightness: It prefers good brightness conditions and can be exposed to the sun early in the morning and late afternoon.

Temperature: It grows well at temperatures from 10 to 20 ° C, but can also sustain short frost and occasional droughts.

Soil type: Requires light, fibrous and spongy soil and able to retain moisture without getting dry. It is advisable to mix soil with leaves and peat with the addition of coarse non-limestone sand.

Irrigation: it loves hot-humid environments. It is therefore recommended to spray the leaves regularly with rainwater. If the air is too dry, the edges of the leaves dry and curl. Avoid watering the central part of the plant. Just one irrigation per week. In the autumn-winter period, when the plant starts vegetative rest, it only leaves annaffiats when the soil is dry on the surface.

Fertilization: From spring to late summer every 15 days with liquid fertilizer mixed with irrigation water. In the winter period it is suspended.

N.B. The specifications described above may vary depending on the climate of the area where the plant is placed and the season.
